Safety Recall
Stellantis UK Safety Recall
Stellantis has issued a UK safety recall affecting approximately 72,000 vehicles across several brands, including Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep and Alfa Romeo.
The recall relates to certain petrol-engine vehicles where components within the high-pressure fuel pipe system may loosen over time. In rare cases, this could lead to a fuel leak within the engine bay, increasing the risk of fire.
Stellantis has identified that, on some vehicles, fixings within the high-pressure fuel pipe assembly may loosen over time. The fuel pipe connects the high-pressure fuel pump to the fuel rail and operates under significant pressure during normal engine operation.
If the fixings are not secured correctly, this could allow a small fuel leak to develop within the engine bay. In rare cases, escaping fuel could increase the risk of an engine compartment fire.
What Owners Should Do
Affected vehicles require a free inspection at an authorised Stellantis dealership. Technicians will check and secure the fuel pipe fixings where necessary. The procedure is straightforward and typically takes less than one hour.
Owners are advised to confirm recall status using their vehicle registration number or VIN.
